Michael began taking pictures as a teenager and has continued ever since. He has had his images published in books, calendars, music albums and on the web. He frequently delivers multi-media photographic shows (his favorite activity) at business and photographic conferences like the annual New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) using images he has taken from his travels around the world. He has been honored with an M.N.E.C. (Master Member New England Camera Council) for his photographic art as well as service to the New England photographic community.

He has won numerous awards for his photography in international exhibitions including the Greater Lynn Photographic Association salon, Photographic Society of Rhode Island international exhibit of photography and Camera Naturalists international nature exhibition. His landscape work has been exhibited at Galerie f/5.6 (Munich, Germany), Main Street Art Gallery (Newfields, NH), Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery (Portsmouth, NH) and the Sohn Fine Art Gallery (Lee, MA) as well as the Exeter, NH Town Hall.

He is an active member of the Gateway Camera Club (now in his 36th season) as well as the Seacoast Camera Club, Greater Lynn Photographic Association and Camera Naturalists, an invitation only nature photography association. Michael is a past president of the Boston Camera Club, one of America’s oldest photographic societies. He regularly judges at clubs around New England as well as many international photographic exhibits and has delivered numerous teaching programs on photography throughout the northeast.
